Monthly Friendlies (On-going expectations, rules, To-Knows) =)

Thanks for your interest in our monthly gathering to battle it out in fighting games and atleast one goofy title a month. This is an atmosphere of fellowship as well as competition. Each month we gather to see who's on top while encouraging and training each other to be the best possible. This will update for each month with rules for each title, console choice, rules, etc.

Tournament Requirements:

Cost: $5 for venue (This is required to compete in any or all brackets)
This venue fee goes towards the EnCourage youth fund at the church to help with youth outreach and small percentage is allowed towards improving this local venue. This means better equipment for smoother event as well as upgrading the event. This is a nice venue centered where there is a short trip for food access and we want to ensure committment to use the facility appropriately.

Spectators: FREE!!!

If you would like to donate to the cause, feel free to at the front or ask a tournament organizer.

Expectations of the event:

This is a "BYOC"- Bring your own controller! You may borrow as needed but you are responsible for damages or flaws that may occur during gameplay with said controller. Also, if you do borrow a flawed controller that causes interreuptions or you claim has failed you, no responsibility will be held by Tournament organizers as we lend out knowing there could always be issues. Always best to bring your own. But we are friendly and understand limitations for players. Fowl or language deemed inappropriate by hosting community is not appropriate. Failing to follow through will result in DQ or removal of event.

Controller rules:

All controllers including Wii motes are allowed. You are required to desynce your wireless controller after EVERY match. Any interruption to other player's match due to your controller may result in a forfeit of game to that player's next match

Food/Drink:

The venue is not guaranteed to have any food/drink that is considered sustainable for the entire attendance group. This is large and part due to what is attainable prior to and up to the event with planning and help. Under two miles of location both north and south, there is food locations available while the tournament is running and during the break. We will do our best to accomodate our players/staff.

This is a youth sponsored event. However, any teenagers under the age of 18 are not required to have an adult presence. With that said, all parents and guardians should be aware that the staff is not responsible for your child/student. The youth coach is trained and can address issues on site and will solve issues. However, your child is responsible for the arrival and departure. If they leave during the event, the staff members are not responsible for them as this is an open door event. With that said, any person is welcome.

Tournament routine

Tournament organizers will announce the 1st and Final calls for title sign in to confirm brackets. If you fail by final call to show up, you will not be eligible to compete as we are on a time constraint and it is not fair to other players. After you play your match, you are to report your score to the lead bracket organizer will then post your score. You may follow the bracket via the website, scan available QR codes or follow up with the bracket organizer.

Please note that based on the number of entrants and time. it may be deemed that Top 4 is Best of 5 while all matches prior to are Best of 3. This is up to the Tournament Organizer based on circumstances. While we do follow standard tournament guidelines, we retain the right to change the tournament format based on our specific circumstances.
